Project Type: Web Development

Industry: Cosmetics

Completed: July 2011

In a multi-phase process, PDS brought Urban Decay’s site to an entirely new level by recommending and implementing the following components:

  • An interactive shopping experience that enables customers to apply different combinations of makeup to the sketch of a woman’s face on the computer screen and easily purchase any or all of the selected products with the click of just one button
  • A special shopping experience for beauty professionals that provides them with a custom login and rewards them for being marketplace influencers with access to a unique product catalog assortment and a monthly allowance to spend testing out new products
  • The integration of social engagement tools, such as rating and review capabilities using Bazaarvoice and photo and video uploading
  • A mobile-friendly site that allows viewers to quickly and easily explore Urban Decay’s full product offering, read product reviews, and find retail stores.

Client Testimonial

"Urban Decay’s marketing department is constantly coming up with the most creative, innovative ideas that they’d like to see implemented. Precision’s technical abilities amaze us, but the element in our relationship that we really value is that we can always count on them to truly investigate every avenue and be honest with us when something can’t be done, whether because of time, budget, or code version constraints. It gives us peace of mind knowing Precision is looking out for our best interest."
